This podcast is developed through international teamwork. Cécile and Jakob, two psychoanalysts and psychotherapists from Germany and France, are the authors and producers of the podcast. They also run the German-language version of the podcast, which has been online since 2018 and is one of the most widely listened to science podcasts in Germany. Soliman, an American living in Berlin, translates the episodes into English and is the male voice of the podcast. Rebecca, a German-British actress and voice-over artist, is our female voice. The homepage and digital infrastructure is provided by Esther, an ICT specialist from Heidelberg, Germany.

Cécile is a French-German psychotherapist, psychoanalyst and researcher. She lived, studied and worked in Paris, Munich and Heidelberg, Germany. Her main focus of work and research are Attachment Theory, Art Psychology, Transgenerational Trauma and Palliative Care. She draws the comics for this podcast and played the jingle on the piano.

Jakob is a psychotherapist, psychoanalyst and researcher living and working in Heidelberg, Germany. He worked in the field of Palliative Care, Attachment Theory and Postpartum Mental Disorders. He is affiliated to the Institute of Psychosocial Prevention, University Clinic of Heidelberg. Currently, he is a habilitation scholar of the German Psychoanalytic Association. Jakob also studied visual arts in Nuremberg.

Born on the southernmost tip of the US, Key West, Fl., Soliman holds a BA in Philosophy from UPENN in Philadelphia and an MA in Critical Studies from the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Vienna, Austria. He has been living in Berlin, Germany since 2006 and works as a translator from German to English.

Rebecca was born in London, but raised bilingually in Munich, Germany. Shortly after graduating from the prestigious Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, she soon booked one of her most known roles as 'Anne of Cleves' in BBC1's 'Secrets of the Six Wives' in 2016, which went on to play on silver screens around the world and featured in People Magazine in the US. Other notable roles include Sergeant Karen Brown/Blood Red Sky (netflix), Sariska/The City and the City (BBC2), Diaz/Acht Tage (sky). Rebecca is excited to be joining the team behind 'Lives of the Unconscious' and delving into the depths of the human psyche together with its listeners.
